Summary
I am interested in acquiring work experience in the field of Media Arts. I plan to go to college to gain knowledge that will teach me about my profession and prepare me for a career in the field of Media Arts.

100 Black Men of New Orleans Mentoring Academy
· Member March 2014 - Present. The Metropolitan New Orleans chapter is one more than 100 chapters in the United States, the Caribbean and England. The New Orleans chapter has an aggressive plan entitled, Four For The Future, to address four key areas to strengthen the future of black youth: mentoring, education, health and wellness and economic empowerment.
Empowering Males to Build Opportunities for Developing Independence (EMBODI)
· Member August 2011- Present. Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Intern, New Orleans Access Television -- NOA-TV

· Training in a fully digital station with a multi-camera control room, and participation in the creative and technical processes of show production. Working cameras, studio set up, answering phone lines during shows for a local community access channel.
Nola Youth Works Teen Summer Employment Program-- 2-Cent Summer Session
June - July2013
· 2-Cent Summer Session teamed up with NOLA 4 Life to make short films addressing pressing issues that New Orleans teens are faced with daily in the city of New Orleans. My film was based on issues of unemployment for males with a criminal background. We also built a book garden in the Hollygrove community where kids of all ages could come to pick up a free book to promote the literacy and education in a creative and accessible way. Community programming about 2-Cent Summer Session is broadcast on Cox Nola4Life Channel 99.
Nola Youth Works Teen Summer Employment Program-- Positive Images in Entertainment

· Created the Hip Hop Teen Magazine . The magazine gave me experience in a real publication field, and our purpose was to shed positive light on great things that were happening with New Orleans teens with an effort to make news and politics more interesting to teens.

Level III Media Arts program. Technical and conceptual training in audio, film, and video recording and production. Half day school program earning 3 units high school Honors electives credits.
The third year will build on skills learned in Levels I and II.
A course of advanced techniques in film, video, audio and digital media with an emphasis on a senior project and exhibition. This course is an exploration in personal vision. Exercises in audio/film/video are used to develop and produce a series of projects that allow the student to hone their skills and develop their own audio/film/video voice. Students demonstrate their ability to produce independent projects throughout the year. These projects incorporate business and audio/film/video objectives such as studio management, and mastery of digital techniques. All projects require students to write a report defining its objectives. The students also interact with local media professionals through the guest artist program. The completion of a senior project and the preparation and presentation of an exhibition is the final goal of the course.
Independent Study in Technology Applications is an advanced level course designed to build upon concepts of technology applications introduced and developed in previous technology courses. In addition to addressing basic concepts in greater depth, more advanced applications of technology are addressed in real-life contexts using multiple software platforms. Students enrolled in Independent Study in Technology Applications are required to:
- pose hypotheses/questions related to a selected problem;
- work with a mentor to determine problem to be solved and strategies to be implemented;
- develop and apply advanced technology application skills in the solution of the problem;
- analyze information for validity and relevance in the confirmation, testing, and solution of the hypotheses and questions;
- produce documentation to illustrate the progress of the project including, but not limited to, journals, logs, videos, pictorial documentation, computer programs, multimedia products, and printed books; and produce original work to solve the identified problem and publish the product in electronic media and print.
